Service Agreement

These Terms of Service govern the professional relationship between Tri State Plating Polishing ("Company," "we," "us") and our clients ("Customer," "you") for metal finishing services.

Acceptance of Terms

By engaging our services, requesting quotes, or submitting materials for processing, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions. These terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Tri State Plating Polishing.

Service Specifications

Quality Standards

All metal finishing services are performed according to:

  • ISO 9001 quality management standards
  • Industry-specific technical specifications
  • EPA environmental compliance requirements
  • Customer-specified requirements and tolerances

Service Scope

Our services include but are not limited to:

  • Chrome plating (decorative and hard chrome)
  • Nickel plating (electroless and electrolytic)
  • Brass buffing and restoration
  • Stainless steel polishing and finishing
  • Zinc coating and galvanizing
  • Copper finishing and restoration
  • Industrial deburring and surface preparation

Pricing and Payment Terms

Quote Validity

Written quotes are valid for 30 days from issue date unless otherwise specified. Pricing is based on specifications provided and may be adjusted if actual requirements differ from quoted specifications.

Payment Terms

  • New customers: Payment due upon completion
  • Established customers: Net 30 days from invoice date
  • Large projects: 50% deposit required, balance due on completion
  • Rush orders: Payment due upon completion with applicable rush charges

Additional Charges

Additional charges may apply for:

  • Rush processing (less than standard turnaround time)
  • Special handling or packaging requirements
  • Rework due to customer specification changes
  • Extended storage beyond 30 days after completion

Customer Responsibilities

Material Specifications

Customers are responsible for:

  • Providing accurate material specifications and requirements
  • Ensuring materials are suitable for requested processes
  • Disclosing any special handling or safety requirements
  • Providing complete and accurate technical drawings when required

Material Condition

Materials must be delivered in suitable condition for processing. Additional charges may apply for excessive cleaning, repair, or preparation work not included in the original quote.

Delivery and Risk of Loss

Delivery Terms

Standard delivery options include:

  • Customer pickup at our facility
  • Local delivery within 50-mile radius (charges apply)
  • Shipping via common carrier (customer responsibility)
  • Special delivery arrangements by mutual agreement

Risk of Loss

Risk of loss transfers to customer upon completion of services and notification of completion. We maintain reasonable care of materials in our possession but are not liable for loss or damage beyond our control.

Quality and Warranty

Quality Commitment

We warrant that all services will be performed in accordance with agreed specifications and industry standards. Any defects in workmanship will be corrected at no charge when reported within 30 days of delivery.

Warranty Limitations

Our warranty does not cover:

  • Damage due to improper handling or storage
  • Normal wear and tear in service
  • Damage from environmental conditions beyond normal exposure
  • Modifications or repairs by others

Limitation of Liability

Our liability for any claim related to our services is limited to the cost of the services provided. We are not liable for consequential, incidental, or special damages including but not limited to lost profits, production delays, or business interruption.

Insurance and Indemnification

We maintain appropriate insurance coverage for our operations. Customers agree to indemnify us against claims arising from the use of finished products in applications beyond normal industrial use.

Intellectual Property and Confidentiality

Confidential Information

We respect the confidential nature of customer designs, specifications, and proprietary information. All customer information is maintained in confidence and used solely for providing requested services.

Process Knowledge

Our processing methods, techniques, and trade secrets remain our proprietary information and are not disclosed to customers or third parties.
